About Our Founder
Mike Santillan is the Founder and Luxury Travel Advisor behind Ardent Legacy Travel, bringing nearly 30 years of travel industry experience through his work with a major airline and as a professional travel advisor.
For Mike, exceptional travel has never been about simply finding a destination or securing the lowest price. It is about creating an experience that feels personal, memorable, effortless, and worthy of the time and investment devoted to it.
He understands that discerning travelers value more than reservations. They value thoughtful recommendations, exceptional accommodations, meaningful experiences, trusted guidance, and the confidence of knowing that the details have been considered with care.
Mike approaches every journey with one goal in mind: for his clients to return home thinking, “That was one of the best experiences of our lives.”
He believes that begins with listening. Understanding not only where someone wants to go, but how they want to feel, what they value, how they want to experience a destination, and what will make the journey uniquely meaningful to them.
Honest guidance is equally important. Mike believes his role is not simply to agree with every request or recommend the least expensive option. It is to use his experience to recommend what he genuinely believes will create the best overall journey.

A proud United States Navy veteran, Mike is also a man whose Christian faith shapes the way he strives to live and serve others each day. He seeks to follow Christ's example through integrity, kindness, humility, honesty, and genuine care for the people who place their trust in him.
Away from travel, Mike is a devoted husband, father of three, and proud grandfather, affectionately known as Papi. He is also an enthusiastic baseball and college football fan who proudly cheers for the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs.
At heart, Mike is a traveler himself. He loves discovering new places, learning their history, experiencing their culture, meeting the people who call them home, and finding the details that make each destination extraordinary.
